It can sure make pop quizzes more fun. We love it because we instantly know if we have gotten the answer correct. We are also lucky because when we study the Underground Railroad there are houses nearby that actually played a part in hiding people escaping from slavery. In math we delve into investigations of polygons, tessellations, parallelograms, prisms, and using metric systems of measurement. Would you like to learn Social Studies through drama and bring reading to life by creating masks of characters? Would you like to star in a historical movie or narrate a poetry podcast? These are just a few activties in store for you in fifth grade at the Grammar School at Somersville.
