History

The Grammar School was founded in Wilbraham, Massachusetts in 1981 by Richard F. Denniston. Mr. Denniston founded the school with the idea for a learning community with a strong vision and purpose. Our mission statement has not wavered and our objective remains the same; to maintain a school environment that encourages children toward their greatest potential within a positive, caring environment. We have adhered to our purpose for more than a quarter century.

The Grammar School is currently located in picturesque Somers, Connecticut, where we enjoy the natural beauty afforded by the neighboring Mill Pond Conservation Area. Our school is easily accessible to many communities in Northern Connecticut and the Greater Springfield area.
