Physical Education:

The Grammar School’s Physical Education Program addresses the whole student; physically, mentally, and emotionally.  The curriculum units are based on traditional skills and knowledge, helping the children become more active individuals throughout their lifetime.  Nontraditional activities are also promoted through group participation, problem solving and interpersonal skills. These activities help to develop individual and group focus, perseverance, self control, fitness, and trust.  Sportsmanship is a primary component of the Physical Education Program at The Grammar School.  Most activities are structured to be noncompetitive. With team sports, students experience the thrill of scoring points and the importance of congratulating all participants in the game. The ultimate goal is to have students enjoy physical education and maintain an active and healthy life style.
